16th Annual Red Dress RunJune 20, 2013
Reported by Karen Fennie
Great weather and a nice turnout for the 16th Annual Red Dress Run. There were 129 runners who raised over $1,140 for the Crime Victims Assistance Center.
Much gratitude to our volunteers, some of whom help every year! Thanks to Alan Jones for marking the course and providing a water station at his home, Sue Priestly, Bob Hartman, Chester and Ed Jenner and Paul Natelli also for water station support. Margaret and Helmut Betz for help with selecting the certificate winners and traffic. Paul McCabe also for his help with timing and traffic. Jennifer Woltjen and Larry Lepak for assistance for road marshaling. Barb Morrisey (on crutches--fast recovery, Barb) for help with judging. Kevin Pasterchik for managing the donations, Vince Kelly for taking photos, Raini Baudendistel, Executive Director of Crime Victims Assistance Center, and her able staff for managing registration and bringing cold, bottled water. Brendan and I couldn't do it without all of you and we sincerely appreciate it.
