There was a nice turn out at the 14th annual Red Dress Run with 135 runners participating. Quite a number of kids either running or in strollers this year, which was really good to see. Fun attire as always. Runners raised over $900 for the Crime Victims Assistance Center. THANK YOU!
I apologize for the faded course markings that meant a few people missed a turn, but everyone did get on track and back to the finish.
Much gratitude to the volunteers who made sure everything went smoothly: Grace Tabeek, Sue Priestly, Bob Hartmann, Ed Jenner, George Joseph, Alan Jones, Tom Hamlin and Kevin Pasterchik. Thanks also to Michael Niddaugh, Meghan Whalen and the other folks from Crime Victims Assistance Center. I know the runners appreciated that ice cold bottled water after! Thanks also to George Groome for getting the photos up on the TCRC website.
While watching runners come in, the esteemed panel of judges came up with some possible new award categories (maybe next year): The Dress That Flows the Best, Run a Little Faster and Pop Out Award, Most Cleavage Showing (male and female), Sweatiest Dress, Runner Still Dressed at the Finish Line.
On to this year's awards:
Again much thanks to both the runners and volunteers. Your support means so much.
