January


January Freeze 10K Series
Saturday, January 5, 12, 19, 26 with Rain/Snow date of Feb. 2. (Feb 2 will only be used if one of the other dates is cancelled). Races to be held at Otsiningo Park, Binghamton, NY. Races start at 10:00 AM with race day registration starting at 9:15 AM. No pre-registration. Fee: free to TCRC members or $10 for non-members to cover all four races. Refreshments will be provided.

The course is a paved 2 mile loop in the park. USAT&F Certified 10K, NY99065AM. The race starts at the rest area (with heated rest rooms) closest to I 81. A Google Map to Otsiningo Park is available. Enter from Bevier Street and proceed on the driveway past the northern end of the park. Make a right turn to the northern-most building (past the large white area near I-81 in Google Map) where registration is held.

Contact Tom Hamlin, phone 570-663-2030. Winners each week (Men & Women) will receive an award (no duplication of weekly awards) and there will be overall awards at the end of the series. To be eligble for the overall award, you must participate in a minimum of 3 races.

An early start at 9:30AM is available for those expecting to run much slower than the main group of participants. Please register by 9:20AM.


FLRC Indoor Track Meets
Sunday, Jan. 6. Held on the eight-lane, 200-meter track in Barton Hall on the Cornell University campus. No preregistration; sign up each meet, beginning at 8:15 AM. Registration closes at 9:15 AM. The Warrior Outlaw Snowshoe Race 4 miles
Saturday February 9. 9 AM, Chenango Valley H.S. Empire State Games qualifier (the last scheduled ESG 5 km Qualifier). This is run half on maintained trails, half on unmaintained trails (kind of wild really, many logs to jump, and briars to run through). Shamrock Run
